AI & Data Usage Policy

Chuapi uses technology to improve the quality of connections between users. This policy explains specifically how data may be used to improve our systems, what data is never used, and how you can control your preferences.

Purpose of Data Analysis

We analyze platform data to:

• Improve connection recommendations and compatibility matching
• Detect and prevent abuse, harassment, and unsafe behavior
• Improve platform performance and reliability
• Understand how features are used to guide product development

What Data We Use for AI and Machine Learning

Chuapi and Pirobeta Labs may use data to train machine learning systems, improve compatibility algorithms, and develop new features. The data used for these purposes includes:

• Profile preferences: the characteristics and attributes users indicate they are looking for
• Compatibility signals: aggregated and anonymized patterns from how users interact with recommendations
• Platform behavior: features used, session patterns, and engagement — in anonymized or aggregated form
• Safety signals: aggregated patterns used to detect abuse and protect users

What Data We Do Not Use for AI

The following categories of data are never used to train AI or machine learning models:

• The content of private messages between users — your conversations are private and will not be used to train our models
• Photos for facial recognition, biometric identification, or any form of visual analysis — our compatibility algorithms are based entirely on text-based profile data and stated preferences
• Any data from users who have opted out of AI training (see below)

Ethical Data Use

Our AI work is guided by the following principles:

• Human dignity: people are not data points — our systems are designed to facilitate genuine connection, not to manipulate behavior
• Privacy by default: we use the minimum data necessary to achieve each purpose, and anonymize or aggregate wherever possible
• Transparency: we describe what we do with your data in plain language, not legal boilerplate
• Authentic connection: our systems optimize for meaningful outcomes, not for engagement metrics or time-on-platform

Your Choices

You have meaningful control over how your data is used:

• You may request that your data not be used for AI training by contacting us at chuapi.app@gmail.com with the subject "AI Opt-Out." We will process your request within 30 days. This opt-out does not affect your ability to use the platform.
• You may request a copy of your personal data or request deletion of your account and associated data through your account settings or by contacting us.
• You may withdraw consent for sensitive data processing at any time through your profile settings.

Responsible AI

We continuously evaluate our AI systems for fairness, accuracy, and potential for harm. We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users without human review.

As AI regulation evolves — including guidance from the FTC, state privacy laws, and emerging federal frameworks — we will update this policy to remain compliant and transparent.
